Supporting Our Community: COVID-19 (Coronavirus) important details


To best support our staff and community, from Monday 6 April 2020, you can complete all Access Canberra transactions online or by calling 13 22 81, unless you are applying for a brand-new ACT driver licence.

Some key vehicle transaction (such as transfer and establishment of registration, changing of vehicle details and clearing of defects) can be completed here.

This means you do not need to visit an Access Canberra Service Centre for any other services.

We have also introduced a dedicated quiet period between 9 and 11am, to support vulnerable Canberrans and those with English as a second language who may not have access to our online services or who need assistance to do so.

If you believe you need to visit an Access Canberra Service Centre please call 13 22 81 before doing so.

Our Parking safety team is currently focusing on accessibility and public safety. This means focus is on pedestrian crossings, line of sight safety issues, disability parking and no stopping and loading zones.

All driver licence assessments have been suspended. Driving examiners are calling anyone who is booked in for an assessment.
