work diligently to cultivate partnerships with the student body, administration, faculty,
staff, and community, to maximize each student’s educational and personal growth.
The Student Government Association also encourages student involvement and will provide
opportunities to develop a lifetime relationship with Texas Tech University for each
student and to keep Texas Tech University at the forefront of higher education.

The Student Government Mission

The mission of the Student Government Association (SGA) is to provide FSU students with representation, services, and advocacy within the university structure. The SGA provides quality leadership for, and accountability to, its constituency by recognizing that strength arises from diversity, engagement, and dialogue.



Caleb Dawkins

Caleb is from Orlando, Florida
double majoring in Political Science
and Advertising. He began his
collegiate career as a member of the
Center for Academic Retention and
Enhancement (CARE), FSU’s
summer bridge program for firstgeneration
students. Caleb has been
involved with the Student
Government Association, the Black
Student Union, the Service Scholars
Program, the Student Foundation,
Beta Theta Pi, and served as a 2018
Orientation Leader. In his
sophomore year, Caleb participated
in the Undergraduate Research
Opportunity Program (UROP),
where he explored themes of Black
Masculinity in the Media by
examining Social Media Users
Reactions to the movie “Moonlight”.

World Association for Medical Law

Medicine and Law is an international publication
dealing with medico legal issues. It consists of original articles, court
decisions, and legislation on: Medical Law, forensic medicine, sexology and
law, psychiatry and law, psychology and law, dentistry and law, nursing law,
pharmaceutical law, medical ethics, clinical criminology, drugs, alcohol, child
abuse, medical experimentation, genetic engineering, organ transplantation,
abortion, contraception, sterilization, euthanasia, religion, AIDS, etc.

The journal (Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Roy Beran) has been
in publication since 1980 and has been recognized by the renowned Kennedy
Institute of Ethics as a “priority journal”.
