Manitowoc County Genealogical Society | Manitowoc Genealogy

A friend sent me this announcement from The Abundant Genealogy Newsletter from Thomas MacEntee:

“Ancestry: FREE ACCESS to Ancestry Library Edition! This means if you have a library card from a participating library AND they have online access, you can get Ancestry at home for FREE! “As approved by Ancestry.com, ProQuest will provide public libraries with temporary remote access to Ancestry Library Edition through April 30, 2020. Ancestry will evaluate the need monthly and will adjust the access dates accordingly. Secure, patron authentication on the library’s website must already exist in order to obtain remote access.”  (Complete article at: https://mailchi.mp/abundantgenealogy/covid19-promos?e=274b02bc87 )

Welcome to ISOGG… | International Society of Genetic Genealogy

…the first society founded to promote the use of DNA testing in genealogy

Our Mission

The mission of the International Society of Genetic Genealogy is to:

Advocate for and educate about the use of genetics as a tool for genealogical research while promoting a supportive network for genetic genealogists.

How do we accomplish our mission? By educating others about the use of genetics in genealogy. This is done through workshops, our wiki, a speaker’s bureau, our forums, and meetings. Although we do not have regular meetings, meetings are important as they allow for the dissemination of information and help maintain forward momentum. Even though ISOGG members are geographically spread out, we do what is possible to hold meetings at events and online.
