Designed for citizens from all walks of life, GovBenefits.gov provides a wealth of information on programs relating to education, unemployment, job skills training, low-income, health, housing, disaster assistance and more. Visitors can quickly complete the free and confidential online questionnaire and receive a custom list of benefits and loans that they may be eligible to receive. For each program, GovBenefits.gov features a detailed program description, eligibility criteria, and point of contact information. In addition, the GovBenefits.gov sister site, GovLoans.gov, provides information on a variety of loan reimbursement programs including, education, housing and small business.

The Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland was created as a cooperative planning and development agency to foster the economic development of the Southern Maryland region, which includes the counties of Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s. The purpose of the Tri-County Council is to serve as a forum for the resolution of region-wide issues and the attainment of regional goals. The members of the Council include all of the elected officials of Southern Maryland; especially the County Commissioners from each County, State Delegates and State Senators as members of the Maryland General Assembly.
