The quiet Motigo village in Bomet county was brought to life when helicopter and high end vehicles landed at the home of the nominated MP Wilson Sossion.
Dignitaries arrived one after the other as local residents snaked their way to assemble at Sossion’s garden to witness the celebration of his daughter’s academic success.

Rosemary Chepkorir graduated with a post-graduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law and was successfully admitted to the bar recently.
Chepkorir became the first female lawyer in her village, an achievement that could not go unnoticed given the high number of guests who attended the ceremony on September 19.
Among those who flew all the way from Nairobi were Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga and Central Organisation of Trade Union Francis Atwoli.

Also in attendance were Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Siaya Senator James Orengo, Emurua Dikiir legislator Johanna Ng’eno among others.
Speaking at the function, the leaders stressed the need for quality education for all as an equaliser of all social classes and key enabler of economic development.

Sossion’s first wife Monica with whom he has three children including Chepkorir, died in a road accident in 2012.
